Started a Podcast of my own

Exploring tech with Podcasts!

I have been a big fan of podcast and always wondered how difficult was it to create one of my own. One of my driving factors was this, “Let's do it and think too much about it later”

But still, I didn’t have the drive to start a podcast. It was December of 2019 when I hastily recorded a Podcast Trailer for my channel and posted it. Not many hits, just as expected.

Started working on the first episode immediately. But nothing felt right. I kept trying again & again but was met with failure to create a good podcast.

Then 2020 happened!

The podcast became the last thing in my head. I was in a lot of work pressure since Feb and this reason kept me safely away from any good scripts. Then I started following the pandemic spread across the world.

I was suddenly working out of my home, and this was new level of exhaustion, as my client was in a different time zone and expected us to attend the calls whenever they became available. At times, I have had less than 3–4 hours of sleep.

Then the workflow became slow. Really slow!

It was July and I decided to run my first DnD campaign of 2020 in a discord server. Having done a great first session, I just felt right.

Episode 1 was born.

I was clearly in a high and my voice shows, how crazy I felt.

Then I shared with my close friends for feedback. I received a bunch of Ok and not bads. But most said you got to improve certain aspects.

This prompted me to start working on a structure and invited guests to make the podcast interesting. I shared my personal love for tech and encouraged my guests to talk about the things they loved.

Why am I doing it?

I asked my self this question — for which my answer was simple. “I want to reach out to those listeners, who are on the run, looking for good content and share with them my ideas”

Also, this is part of my goals for 2020. Build 50 new things this year! I am planning to do a first season consisting of 20 episodes by year-end. So I will have 30 other things for me to go, find and build ;)

Sharing Interesting technology information is my goal. And to you, my dear reader, share your love in making this new podcast a success. I define success, is not the number of plays but when a listener finds the content informative.

Yes, I am in a constant rush to make the podcast better, so your feedbacks are most welcome.

Thanks for your time.
